# Working with Projects

Projects are concrete actions that you take to develop your program, in order to achieve your goals. Your work breakdown structure (WBS) (opens new window) or detailed implementation plan (opens new window) are composed of projects and activities.

Renaming workflow levels

Activity allows for flexibility in naming your workflow levels. As an Admin you may call them according to the naming convention adopted by your organization. In our example workflow level 2 is called Projects, but you can easily change it.

# Adding projects

Adding projects to a program (opens new window) is easy. Go to Workflows > Project and then click on + Project. Add your project's name and relate it to your newly created program.

Creating projects within your program to breakdown your program's work

Once saved, you can edit and add more information about your project by clicking on the project's name.

# Manage your activities

When you are project planning, there are cases when you need to break down your projects into manageable activities.

Activities can be found under a project details page under the Components tab.

What is an Activity?

Activities are lower level, smaller chunks of work that your projects are composed of. In Activity, they are called workflow level 3. Read more on workflow levels in this article on the Help Center.
